    Hi! I'm Amy, creator of "Savoir." As I have always had a love for the amazing workings of life and nature, plants were my destiny. With my move to Asheville, NC in 1997, I began to find and follow my path.
     Originally, I moved here to complete my education at The University of North Carolina at Asheville. There I found Botany thrilling. The reproductive cycle of the pine had me on the edge of my seat. 
      Yet this was not enough, my college education had to be supplemented with the magic of plants. This was found in 1999 at the North Carolina School of Natural Healing, now the North Carolina School of Holistic Herbalism www.herbsheal.com . Under Peggy Ellis, I learned the many uses of plants and their healing powers.
      In 2004, I finally graduated with a degree in Biology, and was free to unleash my passions on the world. My greatest passion was my new daughter Amara. Being blessed enough to stay at home to care for her, I had to temporarily give up hopes of any profession. Yet I am restless and too excited about what plants can do for the human race to sit back and wait until a more appropriate time. Therefore, Savoir was created, based on remedies I have been using for my friends and family for years, and visions of an herbal business of the past.
     I create these products during naptime and after bedtime to offer them to the world. So as you see, much more than just work is put into my products. I have searched for the best quality ingredients, and Amara & I personally wildcraft as much we can (that's part of the fun!) I hope that you enjoy my products as much as I do, and I welcome any feed back that you would like to share.
